Flag Football Recap: Leading Edge Academy - GEC Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Scottsdale Christian Academy, Leading Edge Academy - GEC was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Apache Junction Prospectors get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. The Spartans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC found their leader in sophomore Corynn Foster, who picked up 176 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Those 176 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Foster.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Foster and Armani Rameriz.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Apache Junction, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.

Leading Edge Academy - GEC has already played their next matchup, a 13-0 defeat against Benjamin Franklin on the 23rd. As for Apache Junction, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 47-0 loss against Gilbert Christian on the 27th.
