Softball Game Preview: Marksville Tigers vs. Oak Hill Rams

The Marksville Tigers will take on the Oak Hill Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Marksville has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Oak Hill will arrive with four straight wins.

It was a proper cat-fight when Marksville duked it out with Buckeye on Tuesday. Marksville fell just short of Buckeye by a score of 3-2.

Miya Glorioso made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. Kylie Lewis also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Oak Hill and Glenmora, and Oak Hill kept the tradition alive. Oak Hill came out on top against Glenmora by a score of 12-8 on Thursday.

Sadie Fredieu was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Braylee Cedus was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-4.

Oak Hill's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Marksville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Marksville skirted past Oak Hill 12-11 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Does Marksville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oak Hill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
