League recap: Frontier's Winans delivers best pitching performance from past week

Frontier's Allan Winans was the best pitcher in Southwest Yosemite this week. He picked up one win and nine strikeouts.

Centennial outperformed the rest of the league this week, as its three total wins led the league. The Golden Hawks beat Independence 6-0, Shadow Ridge 6-1 and Basic 8-1.

Frontier's pitchers have displayed incredible control over the past week and all season, giving up just one walk over the past seven days and 24 on the year, both No. 1 in the league.

Ten batters hit over .400 this week. Leading the pack was MITCHELL HAAS, who hit .625 by going 5-for-8.



Frontier's Winans struck out nine Liberty hitters en route to a 3-1 victory on March 20. Over his six innings pitched he allowed one run on five hits.
