North Lenoir is 6-1 against Southwest Onslow since March of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Hawks will challenge the Stallions at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as North Lenoir comes in on seven and Southwest Onslow on four.
North Lenoir proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by 17) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Midway 3-2.

Wriston Honeycutt was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Honeycutt wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mason Sasser, who scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Blayden Pridgen was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Southwest Onslow never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They blew past Kinston 18-0. The Stallions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.
Southwest Onslow let Christian Escalera and Jacob Smith run wild. Escalera scored three runs while going 2-for-2, while Smith scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Tyler Randolph, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Southwest Onslow always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .870. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Southwest Onslow pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for North Lenoir, their record now sits at 9-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. North Lenoir has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Southwest Onslow struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went North Lenoir's way against Southwest Onslow in their previous matchup back in March, as North Lenoir made off with a 7-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
