After a string of three wins, Ansonia's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 55-44 to Seymour. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ansonia in their matchups with Seymour: they've now lost seven in a row.
Even though Bridgeport Central has not done well against Danbury recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bridgeport Central escaped with a win against Danbury by the margin of a single free throw, 57-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bridgeport Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mikayla Kendrick, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Kai Clarke was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
Ansonia's defeat dropped their record down to 3-1. As for Bridgeport Central, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
