Recap: Man Hillbillies vs. Independence Patriots
The Man Hillbillies were the 72-51 winner over the Independence Patriots when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Man suffered a rough 62-41 defeat at the hands of Independence on Tuesday.
Independence was led to victory by Harmony Mills and Lacey Goodson. Mills dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Goodson scored 31 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The contest was Goodson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Kamryn Wooten was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Man's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Independence, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Man will look to defend their home court on Thursday against St. Joseph Central at 6:00 p.m. Independence will take on Sissonville in a holiday battle at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at.
