Baseball Recap: Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles vs. Shawnee Mission East Lancers
Bishop Carroll had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Shawnee Mission East Lancers, sneaking past 6-5.
Ethan Cox looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
On the hitting side, Bishop Carroll let Carter Clupny and Harrison King run wild. Clupny got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI, while King got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one RBI. That's the most RBI Clupny has posted since back in April of 2024.
Coming up, Bishop Carroll will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shawnee Mission East, they are taking a road trip to challenge Blue Valley on Friday.
