Recap: Logan Chieftains vs. Newark Wildcats

The Logan Chieftains can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They came out on top against Newark by a score of 43-30. For Logan, this counts as revenge for the 73-47 loss Newark walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2017.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Logan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mollie Landis, who scored five points along with 12 steals. Landis has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Makenzie Daubenmire was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and three blocks.

Logan pushed their record up to 7-13 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Newark, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Logan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-36 win vs. Nelsonville-York on the 7th. Newark has also already played their next game, a 62-54 victory against Groveport-Madison on the 9th.
