It was fun while it lasted, but Cato-Meridian's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They fell just short of the Red Creek Rams by a score of 47-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Blue Devils have suffered since December 2, 2023.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cato-Meridian fell to 3-1. As for Red Creek, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Cato-Meridian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Skaneateles at 12:30 p.m. on January 11, 2025. As for Red Creek, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-45 win against Marion on the 28th.
