Baseball Game Preview: Wayne Eagles vs. Mynderse Academy Blue Devils

The Wayne Eagles will challenge the Mynderse Academy Blue Devils at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Wayne has nine straight wins, Mynderse Academy has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Wayne proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Unatego 4-3.

Wayne saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kamden Frechette, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Frechette's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Mynderse Academy came up short against Palmyra-Macedon on Thursday and fell 5-1. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Devils have lost by exactly four runs.

Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Mynderse Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
