Basketball Game Preview: Academy of Central Florida Golden Bulls vs. IMG Academy Blue Ascenders

The Academy of Central Florida Golden Bulls will head out to challenge the IMG Academy Blue Ascenders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Academy of Central Florida was able to grind out a solid victory over Potter's House Christian Blue, taking the game 54-42. Given the Golden Bulls' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while the Lions are ranked 609th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, IMG Academy Blue had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They escaped with a win against the Spartans by the margin of a single free throw, 65-64.

IMG Academy Blue has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Academy of Central Florida, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
