Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Grants Pass

Grants Pass proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by eight) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Lincoln Cardinals. Winning may never get old, but the Cavemen sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Grants Pass pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Grants Pass will be playing at home against Willamette at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavemen are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lincoln, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 4-1 win against McNary on the 8th.
