Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Safford). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Catalina Trojans 86-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bulldogs have posted since February 8, 2024.

Safford's victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-9. As for Catalina, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Safford and Catalina could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings. Safford (ranked 236th) will meet Palo Verde (ranked 78th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Catalina will take on Thatcher at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 199 places (331 vs. 132).
