Clarksville waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Northeast Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since March 12th.

Dean Fields tossed a big game, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Clarksville's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jaxson Reese, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Clarksville's victory bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Northeast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-20.
