Recap: Uintah Utes vs. Provo Bulldogs
The Uintah Utes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Provo by a score of 42-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Uintah has suffered yet this season.
Uintah lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Briley Ottley, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie White, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Uintah has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Provo, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-11.
Uintah will square off against Timpanogos at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Timpanogos is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Provo will take on Orem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Orem is ranked 107th, while Provo is ranked 97th).
