Soccer Recap: Bessemer City Takes a Loss

Bessemer City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons, falling 10-1. While losing is never fun, Bessemer City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 450th, while Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy are ranked 172nd).

Bessemer City's goal came courtesy of Makayla Ball, who's now up to four this season.

Bessemer City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bessemer City will host Huss at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
