Softball Recap: Eight Straight Home Wins for Dripping Springs

Dripping Springs extended their postseason success on Friday against O'Connor. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-0 win over the Panthers. The victory was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight.

The result came thanks to Tatum Green's shutout, as she gave up just four hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lorelei Gamble, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run. Another player making a difference was Jai-Lynn Flores, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Dripping Springs pushed their record up to 27-8-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for O'Connor, their loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 21-4.

As of now, neither Dripping Springs nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
