Softball Recap: Fox Warriors vs. Parkway Central Colts
Fox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Parkway Central Colts. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colts apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.
Aleah Carter led a balanced group of hitters, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in hits. Rylie Fisher was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.
Fox's record now sits at 7-14. As for Parkway Central, the win snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 7-15 record.
Fox will challenge Festus at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Festus' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Fox's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Parkway Central, they will face off against Northwest at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Parkway Central is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
