Basketball Recap: Washington Christian Academy Falls to Model Secondary School for the Deaf in First Game of Season

Washington Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road on Monday and hit a couple of potholes. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 43-42 to the Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The victory got Model Secondary School for the Deaf back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington Christian Academy and Berman Hebrew Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. The Wildcats will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 64.5 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Model Secondary School for the Deaf, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Sandy Spring Friends at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
