Volleyball Recap: Hyannis Longhorns vs. Hay Springs Hawks

Hyannis lost against Hay Springs back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Longhorns fell 2-0 to the Hawks.

While Hyannis ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19.

Bailee Leonard paced Hyannis' offense, picking up six kills. Leonard got some help from Joia Merrihew and her eight assists.

Hyannis' loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Hay Springs, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

Coming up, Hyannis will square off against Potter-Dix at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hay Springs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Morrill on the 18th.
