Basketball Recap: Whiting Takes a Loss

Whiting was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 30th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 59-22 loss at the hands of the River Forest Ingots. If the Oilers were looking for revenge after losing 67-48 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Whiting's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for River Forest, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Whiting didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 79-17 loss against Chesterton on the 22nd. As for River Forest, they have also already played their next game, a 75-49 victory against Washington Township on the 22nd.
