Basketball Recap: Clear Falls Takes a Loss

Clear Falls fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Clear Creek on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Clear Creek Wildcats by a score of 57-55. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Knights came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Wildcats are ranked 367th).

Clear Falls' loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-10. As for Clear Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clear Falls will take on Clear Springs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Clear Falls' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Clear Creek, they will face off against Clear Brook at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Clear Creek has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
