Soccer Recap: Augusta Takes a Loss

If Augusta was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Collegiate on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Orioles lost 7-0 to the McPherson Bullpups on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Augusta of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

Augusta's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for McPherson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season.

Augusta will be playing at home against Pittsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Augusta will be up against Pittsburg's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.56 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for McPherson, they will venture away from home to square off against Buhler on Tuesday.
