Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Greater Atlanta Christian + How To Watch

Greater Atlanta Christian extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-1. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lumpkin County Indians 37-35. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Greater Atlanta Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Michael Miller out in front who rushed for 119 yards and one score on only eight carries, and also threw for 236 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Another back making a difference was Pierce Wilson, who gained 173 total yards and two touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Greater Atlanta Christian was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 219 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

As for Lumpkin County, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (32), they still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Lumpkin County still got an impressive performance from Nolan Matthews, who rushed for 223 yards and four TDs. Matthews' rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 121 rushing yards dating back to last season.
