Baseball Recap: Tahoka Comes Up Short

Tahoka managed to slip by Ropes the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs came up short against the Eagles on Monday, falling 11-1. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Tahoka saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Hicks, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.

Tahoka's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Ropes, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

While Tahoka had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
