Denver North came out on top against Thomas Jefferson on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Vikings skirted past the Spartans 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Vikings have posted since March 17th.

Leandro Echevarria made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Echevarria was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Santana Vital, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Denver North is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Thomas Jefferson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
