After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Firelands, Brookside was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Villa Angela-St. Joseph Vikings a 2-0 shutout. Brookside were shut out 6-0 the last time they took on Villa Angela-St. Joseph, so Brookside were just returning the favor.

Brookside's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Villa Angela-St. Joseph, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9.
