Volleyball Recap: Clara Lopez Key Part of Team Effort in Coyotes Win

If Dobson wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Skyline, they should've done a better job of containing Elianna Bancroft. The Coyotes walked away with a 3-1 win over the Mustangs on Thursday for which the team can thank Bancroft, who had 17 digs and two blocks. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 11 times she's played.

Skyline walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the fourth set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 17-25, 25-16, 25-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Skyline to victory, but perhaps none more so than Clara Lopez, who had 17 kills, five blocks, and three digs. That's the most kills Lopez has posted since back in September. Kirstin Beckwith was another key player, getting 15 digs and two aces.

Skyline's record is now 11-14. As for Dobson, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Skyline will face off against Boulder Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dobson, they will square off against Browne at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
