Baseball Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short

Northeast and American squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Northeast had to settle for second. They lost 10-0 to the Patriots. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Hurricanes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for American, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-11 record.

Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for American, they will take on American Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. American's pitchers better be ready for this one: American Heritage has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
