Volleyball Recap: New Covenant Christian Takes a Loss

New Covenant Christian lost against West Shore Christian Academy back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Flames lost 3-0 to West Shore Christian Academy. The Flames have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

New Covenant Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-21.

Nathan Barnhart paced New Covenant Christian's offense, picking up 11 kills. Barnhart got some help from Zachary Worley and his 17 assists. Finally, Adrian Groff kept New Covenant Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

New Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Shore Christian Academy beat the Flames by a score of 3-0 on Thursday.
