Basketball Recap: Bear Grass Charter Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

Bear Grass Charter took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 63-17 victory over the North East Carolina Prep Huskies. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-7.

Leading Bear Grass Charter to victory were Callee Perry and Aubrey Dotson. Perry went 6-for-13 to rack up 12 points along with eight boards and four steals, while Dotson posted ten points in addition to five assists and three steals. Perry is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season. Haylee (AL) Jarrett was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

North East Carolina Prep is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Bear Grass Charter will challenge Wayne Preparatory Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North East Carolina Prep, they will take on Southside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
