Basketball Recap: Fort Wayne Bishop Luers Takes a Loss

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 54-26 loss at the hands of the Fort Wayne Snider Panthers. The matchup marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Reese Rhodehamel, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Rhodehamel a new career-high in rebounds.

Fort Wayne Snider's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Saniah Sandlin led the charge by as she made all 6 shots she took for 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zy'Ann Phinezy, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 13 points.

Fort Wayne Bishop Luers' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Fort Wayne Snider, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
