Softball Recap: Logan's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Logan dropped their record down to 16-4 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Cabell Midland Knights by a score of 6-5. If the Wildcats were looking for revenge after losing 5-3 to the Knights when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Myleigh Adkins spent all ten innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on 13 hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Emilee Mullins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with two RBI. Ashlin Brumfield was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
