Volleyball Recap: KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate Takes a Loss

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Wakefield Memorial Warriors.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-20, 16-25, 25-18, 22-25, 15-11.

Xavier Pena paced KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's offense, picking up 21 kills. Pena got some help from Christopher Pena and his 19 assists. Kevin Sholola controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wakefield Memorial, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Salem on the 14th. As for Wakefield Memorial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Lexington on the 8th.
