Recap: Rogers Pirates vs. Timberlake Tigers

The Rogers Pirates scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They blew past Timberlake 86-46 on the road. The result was nothing new for Rogers, who have now won three contests by 38 points or more so far this season.

Despite the loss, Timberlake still got an impressive performance from Tyler Engelson, who scored 19 points. The game was Engelson's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Braden r. Mcdougall, who scored six points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Rogers, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Timberlake, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rogers won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. George's at 8:00 p.m. on December 28th. One thing working in St. George's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matchups. Timberlake will finish 2023 at home by hosting Pullman at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Pullman is ranked 87th in Washington, while Timberlake is ranked 93rd in Idaho).
