Basketball Game Preview: Sheyenne Mustangs vs. Horace

The Sheyenne Mustangs will head out to challenge Horace at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Sheyenne took a blow against Mandan, falling 77-35. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Braves are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Horace had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 46 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They snuck past the Patriots with a 68-62 victory. The 68-point effort marked Horace's lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Horace's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Sheyenne, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Sheyenne suffered a grim 84-61 defeat to Horace in their previous meeting back in March. Can Sheyenne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
