Essex Tech lost against North Reading back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hawks fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 3-2.

When it comes to explaining why Essex Tech lost, don't look at Chloe McGillivray. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and two aces. With that strong performance, McGillivray is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

Essex Tech now has a losing record of 7-8. As for North Reading, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Essex Tech has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Medford on the 10th. As for North Reading, they will square off against Pentucket Regional at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
