Soccer Recap: Hokes Bluff Takes a Loss

Hokes Bluff lost against Collinsville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 6-2 to the Panthers. While losing is never fun, Hokes Bluff can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 136th, while Collinsville are ranked 26th).

Allen Cox and Cooper Shields scored both of Hokes Bluff's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Hokes Bluff now has a losing record of 5-6-1. As for Collinsville, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-2-1.

Coming up, Hokes Bluff will square off against Talladega at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Collinsville, they will take on Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
