Basketball Recap: North Greene Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

North Greene had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They walked away with a 69-59 victory over the Cascade Champions.

Cascade's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jocelyn Laughlin, who posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lizzie Keele, who scored 17 points.

North Greene's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Cascade, the defeat snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 10-3 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Greene will finish 2025 at home by hosting Alcoa at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Cascade and Moore County will round out the year against one another at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
