The Triangle Math & Science Tigers are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on the Seaforth Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Triangle Math & Science has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Triangle Math & Science is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of North Carolina's top teams: Reagan, who was ranked 21st at the time (Triangle Math & Science was ranked seventh). The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Raiders 2-1.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Triangle Math & Science got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-22, 21-25, 20-18.

Triangle Math & Science relied on the efforts of Chris Lange, who had six digs and two blocks, and Shankara Dhamodaran, who had 18 digs. What's more, Lange racked up 25 assists, the most he's had over his last six games.
Meanwhile, Seaforth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Jordan.
Seaforth wouldn't go down easily and took Jordan into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-23, 19-25, 21-25, 15-12.
Seaforth's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-6. As for Triangle Math & Science, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Triangle Math & Science beat Seaforth 2-0 in their previous meeting on Saturday. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
