Basketball Recap: Franklin's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin). They blew past the Racine Case Eagles 64-41 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Sabers as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Franklin found their leader in freshman Jordyn Allen, who posted seven points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. Allen also set a new season-high mark in assists with six. Lily McCreary was another key player, putting up eight points.

Franklin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Franklin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Racine Case, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Franklin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-41 defeat against Kettle Moraine on the 10th. As for Racine Case, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 77-39 win against Milwaukee King on the 10th.
