Basketball Recap: Alexandria City Titans vs. Woodson Cavaliers

Alexandria City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 82-39 loss at the hands of the Woodson Cavaliers. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-12.

Alexandria City's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Thompson, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tarik Sesay, who posted eight points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Alexandria City will venture away from home to challenge Robinson at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Woodson, they will welcome West Potomac at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Woodson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six games.
