Sweetwater strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Midway Green Wave with a sharp 12-0 victory. The Wildcats' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four matchups.

Sadie Scott was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Baylee Bohrer was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Vestal, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Sweetwater was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .619. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive games.

Sweetwater pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Midway, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Sweetwater has already played their next contest, an 8-2 win against Sequoyah on the 2nd. As for Midway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-7 defeat against Rockwood on the 1st.
