Grant came tearing into Monday's matchup with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Chavez Eagles by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Grant had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-23, 25-21, 25-22.

Grant's victory bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Chavez, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Grant will head out on the road to take on University at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Chavez, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Verdugo Hills at 3:30 p.m.
