Soccer Recap: Cocoa Takes a Loss

The matchup between Cocoa and Edgewood on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Cocoa Tigers came up short against the Edgewood Red Wolves, falling 8-0. The Tigers were probably out for revenge after losing 1-0 to them when the teams met back in December of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cocoa's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2-1. As for Edgewood, their win bumped their record up to 5-3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cocoa will challenge Rockledge at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Cocoa's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Edgewood, they will take on Merritt Island in a tournament on Friday. Merritt Island will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Edgewood surely won't give up without a fight.
