            Baseball Recap: Kearns Cougars vs. West Jordan Jaguars        
        
		
        
        
            Kearns extended their losing streak  (dating back to last season) to 20  on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-19 in the process. They came up short against  the West Jordan Jaguars, falling  14-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  15-2  on Tuesday.
 Kearns saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Bostyn Ward, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run. Another  was  Mason Rodarte, who  got on base  in two of his three plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
As for West Jordan, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record  this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.8 runs.
On West Jordan's side, they got a great performance from  Riley Williams as he  struck out six batters over  five innings while giving up  four earned runs off   three  hits. Those  six  strikeouts gave  Williams a new career-high.
 On the hitting side,  Ethan Baldwin was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. He has been hot recently, having also posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.  Blake DiFrancesco was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and one  double.
While Kearns had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday.
