Softball Recap: Newberry Comes Up Short

Fox Creek hit Newberry with a four-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs came up short against the Predators, falling 7-0. The shutout was out of character for the Bulldogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Newberry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Fox Creek, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Newberry and Fox Creek will both be playing Swansea the next time they take the field. The Predators will host the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
