Inglewood was the 37-3 winner over Palos Verdes when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sentinels received a blow on Friday as they fell 31-12 to the Sea Kings. The Sentinels gained 206 more yards on the day, but it was the Sea Kings that made the best use of them.

Several Sentinels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marlon Watson, who rushed for 118 yards on only 12 carries. Lincoln Jahn was another key player, having thrown for 254 yards and two touchdowns.

Palos Verdes' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryan Rakowski led the charge by throwing for 134 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 passes, while also rushing for 51 yards. Rakowski's passing game has become a key predictor of the Sea Kings' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.
