Basketball Recap: Baker Starts Season with Victory Against Kinston

Baker took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Kinston Bulldogs 68-31. The Gators pushed the score to 62-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs cut but never quite recovered from.

Terrance Clausell went supernova, putting up 24 points. Those 24 points gave him a new career-high. Ethan Hardy was another key player, scoring 11 points.

Kinston's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Baker is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Pensacola Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kinston, they will head out to challenge Geneva at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
