Basketball Game Preview: Olympian Eagles vs. Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders

The Olympian Eagles will challenge the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Olympian was able to grind out a solid victory over Hilltop, taking the game 47-37.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mater Dei Catholic). They really took it to Mt. Carmel for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-33 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Crusaders have posted since November 23, 2024.

Olympian's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Mater Dei Catholic, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Olympian skirted past Mater Dei Catholic 36-34 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Olympian repeat their success, or does Mater Dei Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
